Pete's Birthday : : September 6, 2010 |
| Well, as many of you know, July 31 was my birthday. We were just planning to go out to dinner with some friends at Chi-Chi's but Kelly decided to surprise me by having my parents come down to visit. So, they showed up at about 4:00 - just before we were headed out to dinner. It was a pleasant surprise. As usual, we ended up staying up until very late talking and catching up. We haven't really seen them much in the last month or two so there was a lot to discuss. They also brought me boxes and boxes of stuff that I still had at their house. I can't believe that it is only a small part of what's left there (my car and related parts are probably the largest part). For my birthday, Kelly got me a new head unit for my car - a Pioneer Premier DEH-P960MP. This HU has everything you could possibly need and maybe a few things you don't. It looks really nice in my car and sounds even better. The speakers in my car are as follows: Dash - JBL GTO220 1-3/4" Mid/Tweets Front - MB Quart 5-1/2" Coaxial Rear - MB Quart 6x9" Coaxial I would highly recommend this setup for anyone who owns a Mitsubishi 3000GT. The AutoEQ (adjusts for interior/speaker frequency response) and AutoHA (adjusts for speaker distance) features of the HU definitely make a huge difference. THere is one thing about my stereo, though, that nobody will be able to duplicate in their setup. That is the teeth marks which are on my removeable faceplate. Apparently Serena felt that it was too pristine so she chewed it a bit to give my stereo that custom look which is all the craze. It's time for someone to take a trip to the pound... just kidding. |
