Out on the left, tolerance is a one way street. : : September 7, 2010

It's a sad thing when such a climate of fear is imbued into a culture by those who declare themselves tolerant that those who they declare intolerant are afraid for their person or property. Such is the culture in which we live - a culture where threatening or bringing harm to the conservative is a way of life for the liberal. And it's all done under a guise of tolerance.

Our house was egged. And our Bush/Cheney 04 sign was trashed. This was done in the dead of night... a sure-fire sign that the liberal who chose to try to intimidate us knew that their actions were wrong but didn't care. Liberals brand themselves as tolerant while they racially profile me (a white, conservative, Christian, male) as a bigot. They use my "biggotry" and their tolerance as an excuse for their actions and it is sad.

I am conservative and I will proclaim it ad infinum. I despise thoughts and plans so liberal they would decay the very morals on which our society was based. I dislike the choices in politics and in personal life which lead to socialist desires. I believe those who follow these ideals are either foolish or deluded. Their lies and figures make me cringe when I hear them.

And I would defend to the death their right to say it. I would protect their right to propose anti-gun laws with my gun (if I owned one). If intolerance is recognizing the foolishness of a person's opinion then I am the bigot but if intolerance is using force to intimidate them away from that opinion then they are.
