Pete and I first met at youth group at Armor Bible Presbyterian Church
in September of 1996. I was 16, he was 15. The first time I saw
him, I immediately asked a friend who he was. I was told he was
new to the church and that his family had just moved to Buffalo from
Maryland. I took it upon myself to be his new friend, with a very
different long-term goal in mind. By January, we began calling each
other, and by June we began dating. We continued to date throughout
the rest of high school. I graduated in 1998 and went on to Houghton
College. Pete graduated the next year and moved to Grove City College
in Pennsylvania. This move proved to be the most difficult strain
on our relationship. Seeing each other once a month during the school
year has been very tough and phone bills have been high, but our
love has grown and deepened through the past 3 years. We knew right
from the beginning that this relationship was special and that this
could lead to a lifetime commitment.
On July 31, 2001, Pete's birthday, we took a day trip to Akron
Falls County Park. After spending a quiet day of picnicing, walking,
and enjoying each other and God's creation, Pete took me up to the
large rock garden in the park. As the sun was setting, he sat me
down in the stone gazebo, and flipped a switch. Our favorite CD
began to play as white Christmas lights lit up the gazebo and part
of the garden. He got down on one knee and said, "Kelly...I love
you with all of my heart and I want to spend the rest of my life
with you. Will you marry me?" I said yes, and we spent the rest
of the night making phone calls!!!
I will be graduating from Buffalo State College on May 12, 2002
with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality Administration.
Pete will complete his education from Grove City College on May
18, 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Computer Systems.

After the wedding, we are planning to move from the Buffalo area.
Pete is currently searching for a job, primarily in the Pennsylvania
area. We will keep this website updated so everyone can be kept
up-to-date on the goings-on with job hunting, accomodations for people
from out-of-town, directions to local entertainment, etc. We look
forward to seeing many of you on May 31.
We love you all and thank you for all of your support.
